Dark Mountain Writing

I founded the Dark Mountain Project in 2009, spurred by a desire to both discover and create the kind of writing and art that could speak to a world in ecological and cultural collapse. Uncivilisation is the manifesto that launched the movement. My essay collection, Confessions of a Recovering Environmentalist, brings together many of the essays I wrote for the early Dark Mountain books.
